Cinematic Wedding Highlight Music

With cinematic music, you can capture most touching and intimate moments of the wedding day. Cinematic music brings an epic cinema type atmosphere to the wedding video, which can enhance special moments like the couple’s first look and emotional vows to allow the viewer to feel the moment. These tracks can perfectly capture the right emotions of a wedding; therefore, they are our favourites.

07.https://www.musicbed.com/songs/prism/22740

Prism by Longlake is one of top choices among other music listed here because it has a dynamic structure that can capture all moments of a wedding. It begins with a low tempo that sets a captivating tone, which can capture the emotional moments of the wedding. As the song progresses, the energy gradually builds increasing the intensity. When it finally reaches upbeat crescendo, it spectacularly aligns with the crew’s dancing energy, which occurs after the emotional moments. We usually use this song on the reception edit of wedding highlight videos, but believe us, it perfectly fits the entire video, from beginning to the end.

For those who are sceptical about using songs with lyrics, this instrumental might be the winner. It is a soft, emotional and heartfelt track that can work wonders for creating slow-motion moments or quiet reflections between the couple.

Building Emotional Flow with Two Songs

Wedding videos can benefit greatly from the combination of two complimentary songs. A wedding occasion usually has emotional moments, which require harmonious music; and joyous moments, which require upbeat music to engage the viewer in the fun and celebrating moment. Though there are music that can meet the criteria, like the one I listed above, most songs fall into only one category. Hence, there may be times which you have to go on with two or more songs. As an inspiration, we’ve provided some of our past works with the songs used in those projects.

Project One

The first song in this project is a cinematic love song made by CHPTRS. The song runs till 1.15 minutes and switch to the next song listed below. CHPTRS songs are famous around wedding filmmakers because of their ability to evoke deep emotions with cinematic instrumentals and heartfelt lyrics, creating a perfect atmosphere for storytelling. Their music is often used in emotional wedding moments, like vows or first looks.

We used this song as the next song for this project as it is a cinematic uplifting song. The lyrics in this song fits perfectly with the vibe of the wedding moments and the Key match with the first song well.

Project Two

If you watch through the video from 0.46 min to 0.58 min, the father of the groom presents his speech and says, “I have to say, this one is the best.” We wanted to emphasize this emotional moment, and therefore we used this specific song here. It includes the part “I want the best, I want the best for you” and you would see that part plays just after the father’s speech, matching with the speech magically…

When you choose music for a wedding, it is also important to match the song’s mood with the wedding’s vibe. The overall vibe of this wedding was modern and peaceful and therefore, we used this peaceful and uplifting song as the next song for this project.

Project Three – For Inspiration

Following songs are used in above wedding video.

12. artlist.ioOasis by MILANO - Royalty Free Music | Artlist

13.Butterfly by Esta Corkery

The reason behind using these songs is that the couple in this wedding displayed enthusiasm and energy during the whole ceremony. We needed to convey the same energy and enthusiasm to the viewers, hence, we chose music that have uplifting, hopeful and exciting moods. When you watch through the video, by 0.46 min, you would see that the officiant officiates the ceremony in a funny and rhythmic manner. We found it interesting and added that part to increase the engagement in the video.

In addition, we used the “first look” as the hook at the beginning of the video. The video flows from the beginning with the groom’s speech of how he met the bride and the location of the ceremony. Although the bride is seen during these parts, she is only seen from the back side. The bride’s face is seen in the video only when the groom sees her “as his bride” for the first time, which is the main hook of this video. We used music to enhance the moment, to increase the engagement of the viewer.

Project Four – For Inspiration

Following songs are used in above wedding video.

14.John Coggins - Believe in This

15. artlist.ioDreams and Goals by Ty Simon - Royalty Free Music | Artlist

This is another interesting project we have worked on as the couple was fun and energetic throughout the ceremony. To convey their enthusiasm, we needed music with uplifting, powerful, love, playful and hopeful vibes, hence we used above songs to the wedding video. The first song “Believe in This” by John Coggins is used until 1.10 min to reveal the energetic vibe of the couple. We also used speedramp to make the transition seamless.

The climax of this video is the “you may kiss the bride” moment at 3.39 min. We emphasized the moment using the couple’s kisses filmed at different locations, and of course some enhanced music.

Conclusion

The right song at the right time can make all the difference in a wedding video. It brings out the emotion, enhances the story telling and ties everything together. As a wedding videographer, your choice of music is as critical as the moments you capture on film. Although choosing the best song for a wedding video is a difficult task, our playlist will make it a little easier as our clients vouch for them. Now let’s get the party started.
